I took a few days off then tried again. I guess the DCCK and the Netgear do not like each other. The Netgear was provided by my ISP and has settings for their system, so not sure if I can substitute it. I have a Linksys router and a Comtrend DSL router in my "stack of stuff." The CCK will successfully connect to each of these, but neither of these are connected to the internet. I have tried to 'daisy chain' the Linksys to the Netgear, but have not yet been able to get it to have internet connectivity.
Thanks, all, for the help and advice so far. What should be a simple process has been painfully unsuccessful due to the Directv - Netgear incompatibility.
