I've used discrete HR-20 DVR's for years. And when you pick up the remote and say fast forward with 4 clicks to get to speed 4, that's what you get... NOW...
But not so with a system we now have in a new home where we chose to try the Genie system. If I haven't accessed the Genie Mini that we have in one room in say, the last 10 minutes or so, and I hit fast forward, it's as if it's asleep. I hit it again and maybe even again and finally it wakes up and starts to respond. I notice something similar with the main Genie itself although I don't operate it as much.
For a few reasons, that being one of them, I am not very impressed with the Genie system. The 5 record channels is nice but that's about it as far as I can tell.
Can anyone tell me if there is some setting I can change to make the system more responsive??? Or might I just have a bad system??? Comments on that???
Again, it truly appears that the Genie Mini goes to sleep and therefore does not respond to my first few attempts to get it to do something. Has anyone else seen this??? Suggestions??? thanks...
